Daruma Squishable!

Squishable Daruma

Okay, there's not a Daruma Squishable yet, but you can help make it a reality! I've entered my design in Project OpenSquish. If it gets enough high votes, it will go into prototyping and will eventually be made into an adorable fuzzy Squishable for all to hug and love!

For those who've never heard of Daruma dolls, they're basically round, little Japanese dolls that are for making wishes/setting goals. They're generally sold without the eyes blackened in. When you decide on a wish or goal, you blacken in one eye. When the wish comes true or you achieve your goal, you blacken in the other eye. At the end of the year, they're then taken to a temple to be burned during a traditional ceremony. However, these guys have turned sort of mascot over the years, and many kawaii (adorable) versions have been popping up.

So, if you want a round, adorable, fuzzy Daruma doll of your own, please take the time to vote for my design on the Squishable website, and please spread the word any way you can! Many thanks in advance to all who make this little guy real! I know we can do it! Ganbatte!

You can click either the pic of the Daruma, or the Squishable logo, to go vote. Doumo arigatou gozaimasu!
